Set Maximum and Minimum Stock Levels ➕➖

Prevent stockouts by setting maximum and minimum levels for your ingredients in tspoonlab and get replenishment alerts.

What is stock in tspoonlab and how to manage it?

In tspoonlab, stock is the available quantity of a product in the system. Keeping the right stock levels ensures continuity of service, avoiding both raw-material shortages and unnecessary build-ups that generate costs.

What is the point of setting maximum and minimum stock?

  • Minimum stock: sets the threshold below which you'll receive alerts or recommendations to replenish that product.

  • Maximum stock: sets the upper limit of stock you don't want to exceed, optimizing space and resources.

To understand this better, watch the video below where we explain the concept. Later in the article you'll find the step-by-step guide to set maximum and minimum stock for your products and materials.

Step by step: setting minimum and maximum stock from stores

Access the store and find the product

  1. Go to "Management" and open the "Stores" tab. Select the store that contains the raw material you want to change.

  2. Find the product or material. Click the three-dot menu at the end of the product or material line and select "Edit max/min stock".

  3. Set the levels:

    • Maximum stock: the level you want to reach.

    • Minimum stock: the level at which you'll be notified to replenish.

Then click "OK" to save the changes.

Once set, these values are visible directly from the product record and within the store.
