Step-by-step guide to linking supplier items to generic products in tspoonlab
Link an item to an existing product from a price list import
Follow the step by step in the article Import supplier items to import the price list.
In the "Other supplier items" box, click the three dots next to the item you want to link. Select "Associate product".
In the window that opens, search for the matching generic product in your list.
Set the specific purchase format, for example:
Product: Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Format: Box of 12 bottles of 0.75 L
Click "OK" to complete the link.
The new product appears in the supplier's list, correctly linked with its purchase format.
Link from a price list import when the item isn't in the generic products list
Follow the step by step in the article Import supplier items to import the price list.
In the "Other supplier items" box, click the three dots on the item you want to link.
Select "Create product", shown in blue next to the product search.
Fill in the new product's basic fields, such as:
Product name
Unit of measurement
Product category
Click "OK" to add the product to the generic database.
Set the purchase format (bulk or a specific format) the same way as in the previous step.
The new product appears in the supplier's list, correctly linked with its purchase format.
