Learn how to create transfers in tspoonFast to move stock from your current cost centre to another destination centre, add ingredients and quantities to move, all from your phone or tablet.

In this article you’ll learn how to create a transfer in tspoonFast, add the ingredients and quantities you want to move to another cost centre, and understand what the transfer updates in stores and what it doesn’t.

A transfer in tspoonFast moves ingredient stock from your current cost centre to another cost centre you choose, for example when you take goods from your restaurant to an event or to another site in the group.

📌 Note: The Source Cost Centre for the transfer is always the cost centre you’re operating from; it isn’t selected manually. You only choose the Destination Cost Centre.

Step by step to create and manage transfers in tspoonFast

Follow these steps to create a transfer, add the ingredients to move and adjust their quantities.

Create a new transfer

Before adding ingredients, you need to create the transfer by specifying the destination centre.

  1. From the tspoonFast home screen, click "Transfers".

  2. Tap the "+" icon in the top-right corner to create a new transfer.

  3. Fill in the "Name" of the transfer and select the "Destination Centre" you want to send the stock to. The "Code" is generated automatically and the "Comment" field is optional. Then click "Save".

Add ingredients to the transfer and adjust quantities

Inside the transfer you can add each ingredient you want to move and enter the quantity, with or without the format calculator.

  1. Tap the "+" icon inside the transfer to open the "Add Item" search.

  2. Search for and tap the ingredient you want to move; it’s added to the transfer with quantity 0.

  3. Tap "Edit" next to the ingredient to adjust the quantity. If the ingredient is bought in several formats, the calculator adds up the units of each format just as in Recipes and Waste.

  4. Repeat these steps for each ingredient you want to move to the destination centre.

📌 Note: The transfer subtracts stock from the source store and automatically adds it to the destination store; changes are saved when you go back or close the transfer, with no extra button needed. Remember both ingredients need to have a store assigned. You can’t transfer ingredients if they don’t have a store assigned at both the source and the destination.

📱 Important: The transfer doesn’t move the raw-ingredient cost between cost centres. The cost of purchases, or of ingredients used in a transferred recipe, stays allocated to the cost centre where the purchase was originally recorded, even once the physical stock is already at the destination centre.
