Dispatches from menus: what they are for and how to generate them
Generating a dispatch from a menu in tspoonlab is an automated process that turns a menu, banquet, or buffet into a real inventory-outflow order. Instead of manually loading the ingredients to be consumed at an event one by one, this process lets the software pull all the raw materials linked to the menu's dishes in bulk and prepare them to be deducted from the corresponding store.

How to process and generate the dispatch from the menus module
To generate a dispatch from the menus module in tspoonlab, follow this sequence:
Go to the black top navigation bar and click the "Offer" menu. Next, in the secondary gray horizontal bar, select "Menus".
In the left sidebar list, find and open the menu you are going to serve at the event.
Once inside the menu record, find the three-dot dropdown menu and click "Generate dispatch".
A pop-up window opens where you must complete the day's parameters:
Dispatch name: generated by default with the menu name.
Dispatch code: generated by default.
Date: choose the dispatch day in the calendar.
Number of guests: enter the number of guests (Pax) for the event.
Click the "Accept" button.
The software processes the ingredient scaling and generates a dispatch pending to be started. You can open the dispatch from the "Dispatches"section inside the menu record by clicking the eye button.
📢 Important: Remember that creating the dispatch does not change the stock in your tspoonlab stores. To commit the definitive stock write-off on the day of the event, you must start and finish the dispatch. More information in the article "Generate dispatches 🚚".
