How to generate weekly production using menus
The Menus module in tspoonlab is an advanced tool for structuring sets of dishes, products and materials. Because it groups dishes and products together, you can use it in many ways: event menus, daily menus, material sets for events, drink lists and more.
In the same way, you can also use the module to group productions of specific recipes and then assign a specific day to each one.
Step by step: generate weekly productions from menus
Generating weekly productions from Menus in tspoonlab requires an existing menu with your recurring weekly productions. If you haven't set it up yet, review the guide Introduction to Menus 🍱. If it's ready, follow these steps in your control panel:
Open the menu you created with all your weekly productions. Click the three-dot dropdown menu inside the menu record and select "Generate productions". Confirm the production day and click "Analyze".
Select all the dishes, or leave unchecked the ones you don't want to produce, and adjust the quantities if you wish.
You can bring forward each dish's production day by changing the "Preparation day".
If you plan by week, we recommend setting the production date to the last day of the week so that, from there, you can bring the chosen productions forward to the days that apply.
Once you've reviewed the data, click "Generate productions".
Go to the "Management" module in the top bar, then to the "Production" section, and select the chosen date to see the productions generated from the menu.
