What is a supplier price list in tspoonlab and how do you use it?
A supplier price list in tspoonlab is an .xlsx file with the codes, descriptions, formats and prices of the items your supplier offers. You import it into the supplier's profile to add supplier items and keep their prices up to date in one go.

Step-by-step guide to importing supplier price lists
Check your price list file format
Before you import a supplier price list, check that the file your supplier sends is in .xlsx format and includes at least two of these columns:
The supplier's item code
The supplier's item description or name
The format the supplier sells the item in
The price for that format, excluding VAT (Value Added Tax)
If the file doesn't include the item code or the format, you can still import it and associate only the information that's available.
Open the supplier's profile
Go to "Management" in the main menu.
Select "Suppliers".
Select the supplier the price list belongs to.
Upload the price list file
Go to the "Price lists" box in the supplier's profile.
Click the three dots in the "Price lists" box.
Select "Add".
Select the date of the price list in the window that opens.
Upload your .xlsx file in the upload field.
Click "Ok" to save the price list.
💡 Tip: you can add as many price lists as you need, each with its own date.
Import the supplier items
Find the price list you uploaded and click "Import" next to it.
Review your file in the preview window that opens.
Assign each column in your file to its field:
Item code → "Code"
Description or name → "Description"
Format → "Format / Comment"
Price excluding VAT → "Price"
You can leave any other columns unassigned.
Click the green "Analyze" button above the column headers.
Click "Add" to add the new items. The window lists only the items in your file that aren't yet in this supplier's item list.
Check the message confirming that your price list has been imported. The items now appear in the "Other supplier items" box.

Supplier price lists in tspoonlab keep your supplier item prices current, even before you've bought at those prices. Use them to:
Keep your Master Cost Centre up to date.
Get recipe costing at updated costs before you've bought the ingredients at those prices.
Update your purchase order templates with the best and latest prices.
Price lists also let you add and associate supplier items quickly and accurately, so all your supplier information stays centralised and current.
